Tis The Season to Give at The Hari Hong Kong - TRAVELINDEXHong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, November 7, 2024 / TRAVELINDEX / The Hari Hong Kong is pulling out all the stops to mark Christmas and New Year’s Eve with merry good cheer, hosting a Christmas market to raise money for charity, festive brunches, lunches and dinners, a stay replete with a chocolate muffin Christmas tree, and more.

Situated in the heart of Wan Chai, the hotel will stage the festivities from Dec. 1, 2024 – Jan. 1, 2025, including the Christmas Market at the lobby on Dec. 9 from 5pm. Service users from Hong Chi Association will serve hand drip coffee and sell upcycling and handmade products. Second-hand books and toys will also be available, with all market proceeds going to Hong Chi to help provide education, training and other empowerment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and their families. A Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony accompanied by young choristers from nearby Dalton School Hong Kong will anchor the market.

The ‘Christmas at The Hari’ package, for a minimum one-night stay from Dec. 1-31, includes:

  • Accommodation in a luxurious room or suite
  • Daily breakfast for two guests
  • HKD400 dining credit at Lucciola Restaurant, Zoku Restaurant, The Lounge, The Terrace or in-room dining per stay
  • A delectable chocolate muffin Christmas tree in the guest room
  • The Hari Hong Kong’s Signature Scented Diffuser as a memento

Brimming with gourmet delicacies, The Hari Hamper Box features a selection of macarons, scones with jujube cream, premium Mandranova Extra Virgin Olive Oil, aged Modena balsamic glaze, Christmas cookies, spicy ‘Nduja sauce, truffle honey, and a bottle of Perrier Jouet Grand Brut NV Champagne. Orders can be placed from now until Dec. 26 and picked from Dec. 1-26.

Under the stewardship of Director of F&B Francesco Gava and his team, Italian ristorante Lucciola will serve authentic Italian classics with a modern twist during the following festive lunches and dinners from 12-3.30pm and 6-10pm respectively:

  • Three-course Festive Set Lunch and Festive Semi-buffet Dinner on Dec. 24.
  • Christmas Semi-buffet Lunch and Christmas Set Dinner on Dec. 25.
  • Festive Brunch and Festive Set Dinner on Dec. 26.
  • New Year’s Eve Set Lunch and Set Dinner on Dec. 31.

The semi-buffet feasts and the Christmas Day set dinner will serve the likes of ‘Crudo di Mare’ featuring freshly shucked oyster, tiger prawn, Alaskan King Crab leg, black mussels and veraci clam, Amalfi lemon, salsa rosa and cocktail sauce. ‘Il Vitello Tonnato’ comprising veal tenderloin, tuna sauce, Modena aged balsamic and Pantelleria capers, ‘Vellutata di Topinambur, Riso Venere, Coda d’Astice’ with Jerusalem artichoke soup, Venere rice, lobster tail, ‘Guancia di Manzo Brasata al Barbaresco’ featuring braised Wagyu beef cheek, Lardo ham, mashed potatoes, chestnuts and gravy and ‘Il Filetto di Ippoglosso all’Acqua Pazza’ made up of Halibut fillet, black mussels and veraci clam broth are also highlights. Free-flow packages and festive drinks such as mulled wine and eggnog and cranberry ginger beer mocktails will be on offer.

Meanwhile contemporary Japanese restaurant Zoku, with a mesmerizing ceiling of angled timber slats in origami-like forms, will celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with the following:

  • Festive Sukiyaki Cheese Fondue on Dec. 24, 25 and 26 served from 6-10pm
  • Three-course Festive Set Lunch on Dec. 24 from 12-3.30pm
  • Christmas Brunch on Dec. 25 from 12-3.30pm
  • Festive Brunch on Dec. 26 from 12-3.30pm
  • New Year’s Eve Set Lunch on Dec. 31 from 12-3.30pm
  • New Year’s Eve Set Dinner with the first seating from 6-8pm and the second seating from 8.30-10.30pm
  • Optional free-flow packages accompany the brunches, cheese fondue and New Year’s Eve Set Dinner

Zoku is launching its homemade Sukiyaki Cheese Fondue during the festive season to be shared over get-togethers. Combining Swiss Emmental cheese, Sakura cheese and sake blended in one delectable warm pot, the fondue will be served with homemade torched bun, shiitake mushrooms, seasonable vegetables, tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) and kinu tofu. Dippable additions on offer include US prime beef, Kyushu chicken thigh, wild octopus, Hokkaido scallops, and tempura. Featuring warm sake, cocktails and champagnes, a beverage menu has been concocted specifically to be paired with fondue.

Adjacent to Zoku, the hotel’s alfresco terrace bar, aptly named The Terrace, will host the hotel’s lively New Year’s Eve Countdown Party from 10pm-1am, with delectable food, innovative cocktails and a DJ spinning the decks.
